Tempura fried burger

Looking at this post on my favorite website, I almost immediately decided to try it! I mean, Are you kidding me? Tempura fried burger? If this is not genius, then what is?
Anyways, I found a simple recipe for tempura batter and gave it a try. The result I have to say, was divine specially when I added mini fried tempura balls to my burgers; Crispiness they brought to my burger was out of control!
Here is what I used for my burgers:

For the batter:
1 egg
1 cup ice cold water
1 cup flour
salt and white pepper to season
Recipe here
For 4 burgers:
1 pound of ground beef chuck
1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
1 TBSP parsley, finely chopped
salt and pepper
4 burger buns
lettuce leaves
sriracha chili sauce

I combined beef, onion and parsley in a container and seasoned with salt and pepper

I made some Sriracha mayo for my burgers! Damn good stuff!

I realized that patty's thickness is crucial for controlling the doneness of the meat. For a cooked burger your patty should be thin and almost a centimeter of thickness

Tempura batter ingredients. I used ice-cold water

Beat the egg and then added cold water

Then added the flour

Patty should have been dredged with flour! I did that!

And then dipped into the batter
I fried my burger in hot peanut oil. Sadly, no temperature control device was used:(

There it is!
Some spicy mayo
This is my twist! I fried some mini tempura balls and added to my sandwich! man that is something! snap to get balls!
